Your information has been provided to Tellja GmbH (“us”/”we”) by the sender of this email who has confirmed to us that you have given your consent to receive this email. We will use this information to communicate with you in relation to the recommendation you have been sent, and also in relation to any reward to which you may be entitled. Who are we?
We are Tellja GmbH. We are registered in Germany and have our registered office at Solmsstraße 12, 60486 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you. It is split into three sections: the section that applies to you will depend on your relationship with us.
1. If you are a Customer (i.e. you are using the Tellja system to provide details of a friend or contact in order to recommend a product or a service to them):
What information do we collect about you?
When you use the Tellja widget to make a recommendation to a friend or contact, you will be asked to provide your first name, last name and email address. If you become eligible to receive a reward as a result of a Successful Recommendation (please see our Terms and Conditions for further details [LINK]) we will contact you to request details of your postal address and/or bank account details so that the reward can be delivered to you.
How will we use the information about you?
We will use your personal data to keep a track of your recommendations, to let you know when a recommendation has been successful and to send you (or facilitate the sending to you of) any reward you become entitled to.
If you have indicated that you would like us to send further news, offers and information to you by email, then we will also use your personal data for this purpose.
We will also keep a record of the recommendations that you make so that we can contact you to offer you the opportunity to make multiple direct recommendations via the Tellja system (please see our Terms and Conditions for further details [LINK]).
Will we disclose your information to anyone else?
We may pass your personal data on to third parties such as couriers or logistics providers in order for us to deliver rewards to you.
We may share your personal data with the company whose website featured the Tellja Widget that you used to send a recommendation.
Your details will also be provided to the person you choose to send a recommendation to, so that they know where we obtained their information.
We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we buy or sell any business assets, in which case we may disclose your personal information to a prospective buyer or seller of such assets, or if our company is bought by another company in which case the personal information we hold about you and our other registered users and customers will be one of the assets transferred when the company is sold.
We may also disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so, for example, to the Police.
2. If you have received an email or a text message recommending a product:
What information do we collect about you?
The person who decided to send you a recommendation will have provided us with your first name, your last name, email address and/or mobile telephone number. We may also contact you to request details of your postal address and/or bank account details so that any reward you become entitled to can be delivered to you.
The person who has provided your details to us has confirmed that they have obtained your consent for this. If you have not given consent for your personal data to be used in this way please contact us at support@tellja.de and we will delete your details.

How will we use the information about you?
This information is used to send you an email containing the recommendation, to communicate with you in relation to, and to deliver to you, any reward to which you may become entitled.
Your details may also be stored on our system in a personal “address book” created by the person who sent a recommendation to you, and may be used to send you further recommendations. You may request to be removed from such “address book” at any time by emailing us at support@tellja.de .
If you have indicated that you would like us to send further news, offers and information to you by email, then we will also use your personal data for this purpose.
